Immediate Supervisor: Production Manager

Role

Under the supervision of the Production Manager, the Receiving and Shipping Clerk ensures the efficient and rigorous management of receiving, shipping, and inventory activities. The incumbent ensures the accuracy of parts, documents, and computer entries to support production and delivery operations.

Main Responsibilities

Receiving and Shipping

• Scan the serial numbers of received and shipped parts

• Verify the conformity of parts against delivery slips

• Inspect received merchandise (quantity, condition) and report any discrepancies or damage

• Ship items via carrier or courier service

• Complete and prepare the required customs documents

• Ensure the accuracy of Shipping

Inventory Management

• Place and pick materials for shipping or manufacturing

• Maintain order and adherence to inventory locations

• Participate in annual inventory counts

• Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized environment in the department

Systems and Equipment

• Enter receiving and shipping data into Microsoft Dynamics NAV

• Operate a forklift

• Perform daily forklift inspections

• Perform any other related tasks necessary for the smooth operation of the business

Desired Profile

Education

• High School Diploma (DES)

• Valid Forklift Operator Certification

Experience

• 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar position (receiving, shipping, warehousing, or logistics)
