An overview of your mandates and responsibilities
Act as a technical reference in industrial safety related to automation.
Identify, analyze and reduce industrial risks related to the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of automated equipment.
Carry out field risk analyses while taking into account the actual use of machines and operational behaviours.
Support operational teams in managing changes that may impact safety.
Define client needs, project scope and service proposals.
Assign and review the work of technicians, technical personnel and drafters assigned to the project, and assess the technical scope of deliverables.
Develop, maintain and improve internal standards and best practices.
Train and support operators, technicians and supervisors on safety aspects related to automated systems.
Ensure the quality of technical deliverables, as well as compliance with budgets and schedules in accordance with the mandate.
Interact with clients and participate in business development.
Act as a leader in the preparation of technical and commercial proposals.

The experience you bring
College diploma in industrial electronics technology, automation and control, electrical technology, instrumentation and control, electrical engineering technology or any other relevant technical training.
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in industrial automation, machine safety, operational safety or industrial control.
In-depth knowledge of operational safety principles.
Knowledge of applicable standards, including CSA Z432, ISO 12100, ISO 13849 and RSST.
Experience in field risk analysis, validation of safety solutions and support for operational teams.
Ability to read, interpret and comment on electrical drawings, control schematics, technical documents and automation standards.
Good understanding of automated systems, programmable logic controllers, operator interfaces, instrumentation and industrial equipment.
Availability to travel between our offices in the Greater Montréal area.
Advanced English proficiency to support effective collaboration with BBA offices and/or clients located in English-speaking Canadian provinces and internationally. The frequency of English use may vary from occasional to daily depending on current projects.
Advanced French proficiency to support effective collaboration with BBA offices and/or clients located in Québec.
Asset: TÜV Nord CMSE, CFSE or equivalent training.
