Job Title: Assistant Controller

Job Summary:

We are looking for an Assistant Controller who seeks to simplify, automate, and improve work processes. Proactive, hands-on, resourceful, and comfortable with technology.

Your responsibilities:

• Be at the heart of month-end activities: receivables, payables, bank reconciliations, month-end closings, entries, analyses, financial statements, and constantly seek to improve these processes.
• Participate in inventory analysis: validate inventory, explain discrepancies, track adjustments, and optimize associated processes.
• Contribute to the preparation, review, and control of budgets, financial forecasts, and expense analyses.
• Explain variances and support management in decision-making.
• Ensure monthly reconciliation of financial statements.
• Participate in internal and external audits and ensure the quality of accounting documentation. processes.
• Work closely with operations, purchasing, and production to ensure reliable and smooth financial information flows.
• Create periodic management reports and performance indicator calculations.

Essential interpersonal skills:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills (French and English).
• Ability to influence colleagues, partners, and suppliers; Ability to explain financial concepts in simple terms and support internal and external clients throughout the process.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting (required)
• CPA designation obtained or working towards (an asset)
