Construction project estimator

A company specializing in waterproofing, structural repair, and building maintenance, we are looking for a construction project estimator to join our dynamic team and actively contribute to the growth of our operations.

Job Description:

Under the supervision of the Operations Director, the estimator's primary responsibility will be to prepare bids, evaluate project costs, monitor work, and participate in project management until final delivery. The candidate must demonstrate good analytical skills, professional rigor, and excellent organizational skills.

Main Responsibilities:

• Analyze plans, specifications, and calls for tenders to estimate the costs of materials, labor, and equipment.
• Prepare detailed bids for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
• Manage and coordinate projects at all stages: from planning to completion.
• Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Conduct site surveys as needed.
• Participate in resolving technical issues on construction sites.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams and clients.
• Ensure rigorous monitoring of budgets and Schedules.

• Exterior Membrane Waterproofing
• Concrete Structure Reinforcement and Repair
• Crack Repair
• Rendering and Caulking
• Basic Electrical Work
• Other Specialized Building Envelope Work

Required Profile:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position (construction estimating).
• Good knowledge of construction materials and site methods.
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications technical skills.
• Organizational skills, attention to detail, autonomy, and team spirit.
• Valid driver's license (asset).

Working Conditions:

• Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, daytime schedule
• Work Location: Face-to-Face
• Salary: Between $50,000 and $100,000, depending on experience and skills
• Language Required: French (English is an asset, but not required)
