Montreal Metro Blue Line Extension
AECOM, a world leader in infrastructure, is proud to lead the joint venture Gestion Blue Line Extension (GPLB) which was retained by the STM to carry out the Professional Services mandate for the Project Office.
AECOM uses its extensive expertise in geotechnics and tunneling, civil engineering and structure, alignment and track, mechanics, electricity, telecommunications, energy, roads, traffic, planning, and project management.
Job description
Under the responsibility of the Head of Discipline in Building Electricity, the incumbent will have as main functions:
- Participate in the design of the Montreal Metro Blue Line Extension project of the Société de Transport de Montréal (STM);
- Participate in the electrical design of stations and other related works (e.g. lighting, services, electrical distribution, fire alarm, etc.);
- Support the preparation of plans and specifications;
- Support the production of studies and reports;
- Conduct the design using REVIT in a BIM360 environment;
- Understanding the client's technical and strategic orientations;
- Follow Client design standards, NFPA and Building Code;
Profile
Desirable qualifications:
- Diploma of college studies in building electricity or any other training deemed equivalent;
- 6 years of relevant drawing/design experience.
Required Qualifications:
- 10 years of relevant drawing/design experience;
- Interest or knowledge in electricity;
- Interests in design tasks;
- Developed sense for oral and written communications;
- Strong abilities for the continuous development of technical knowledge;
- Ability to solve complex problems in independent and integrated ways;
- Resourceful, Autonomous, Collaborative;
- Fast learning;
- Knowledge of REVIT, BIM360, Word and Excel;
- Excellent command of the French language (oral and written).
