We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Accountant (CPA) to join a growing Quebec-based company. You will play a key role in reviewing financial statements, evaluating internal processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and applicable regulations.
Your Responsibilities
Conduct audits and financial reviews in accordance with applicable standards
Review financial statements, management reports, and other accounting documents to validate their accuracy and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles
Evaluate internal controls and accounting systems to identify risks and opportunities improvement
Conduct compliance tests and regulatory audits
Prepare detailed reports with recommendations to improve accounting and operational practices
Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures, as well as the preparation of financial statements
Collaborate with external auditors during audits and year-end closing procedures
Contribute to the preparation of budgets and forecasts, and analyze variances
Work closely with accounting and finance teams to resolve identified issues and develop improvement strategies
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting laws and regulations
Your Profile
Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation in good standing
5 years of experience Relevant
Excellent command of Canadian accounting standards
Excellent analytical and financial data interpretation skills
Autonomy and teamwork
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail and rigorous approach
Proficiency in Excel and accounting software
Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset
