CPA – Senior Chartered Professional Accountant

Main Responsibilities

  • Carry out or supervise/review compilation and review engagements
  • Carry out the implementation of new audit engagements; Supervise and Review
  • Plan, execute, and review tax mandates (corporations, individuals, trusts, commodity taxes)
  • Act as a resource person for clients to meet their accounting, tax, and management needs
  • Coach and support junior team members in the execution of their mandates
  • Participate in the development of internal procedures and the continuous improvement of the firm and the quality management system
  • Collaborate closely with partners on complex files or special mandates (restructuring, business purchase/sale, estate planning, etc.)
  • Maintain excellent client relationships based on trust, expertise, and continuity

Required Profile

  • CPA designation (required)
  • 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in an accounting firm
  • Excellent command of accounting standards for private enterprises (ASPE) and accounting standards for not-for-profit organizations
  • Comfortable in various industries (Holding companies; Service and retail businesses; NPOs; Manufacturing and processing)
  • Extensive knowledge of personal and corporate taxation
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Caseware, Taxprep/CCH I Firm, Excel, etc.)
  • Excellent ability to manage priorities and work independently
  • Strong interpersonal skills, collaborative spirit, and professional interpersonal skills
  • Client-oriented and focused on quality service
  • Good level of spoken and written French
