POSTING PERIOD: From February 27 to March 10, 2026

WORK LOCATION: 2550 INDUSTRIAL BLVD Laval H7S 2G7

Driven by its strategic vision of urban nature for Laval 2035, Laval is currently consolidating a structural shift: prioritizing the sustainability of its infrastructure and the rigorous management of its assets to ensure their long-term performance.

In a context where the maintenance and optimization of assets represent a major organizational priority, Laval is seeking a results-oriented strategic leader. You play a key role in mobilizing teams and fostering interdepartmental collaboration to support the city's strategic vision while contributing to shaping sustainable and high-performing urban environments for the community.

The challenges that await you

Reporting to the Deputy General Manager – Infrastructure, you will ensure the strategic and operational leadership of a large-scale service covering the entire life cycle of municipal assets: management and support for operations, asset management, as well as planning and execution of building, park, and public space projects.

You are responsible for the integrated management of a diverse real estate portfolio, including municipal buildings, swimming pools and water play areas, parking lots, street furniture, parks, public spaces, lighting, and traffic signals. You ensure that community needs are met in alignment with the City's strategic vision.

In this context, your main challenges consist of:

  • Defining and deploying a structured asset management vision based on life cycles, risk assessment, and prioritization of interventions;
  • Leading the planning and rigorous execution of construction, renovation, and asset maintenance projects;
  • Ensuring the sustainability, compliance, and performance of the infrastructure under your responsibility;
  • Structuring governance and performance monitoring, positioning data at the heart of organizational practices;
  • Mobilizing large multidisciplinary teams to achieve strategic objectives;
  • Acting as a strategic partner to senior management and municipal services, promoting collaboration and innovation at the City level;
  • Driving continuous optimization of operations to maximize efficiency and value of invested resources;
  • Structuring and strengthening energy management practices with a sustainable perspective.

Your role is central to the evolution towards an organizational culture more focused on medium and long-term planning, investment optimization, sustainability of public infrastructure, and the creation of urban environments that directly benefit the community.

The ideal profile for us
  • Hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant field (engineering, architecture, landscape architecture, management, or other relevant training);
  • Hold a graduate degree (asset);
  • Be a member in good standing of a professional order with reserved acts (asset);
  • Possess a minimum of fifteen (15) years of relevant experience in the role, including solid management experience;
  • Have experience in managing a large real estate portfolio.
