Maintenance Technician – Residential Rental Property

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our residential property management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the building, completing repairs, preparing vacant units, and ensuring a safe and pleasant living environment for residents.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance and repair work orders efficiently.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine building inspections.
• Prepare vacant apartments for new residents.
• Conduct general repairs, including plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, carpentry, and appliance maintenance.
• Maintain common areas, mechanical rooms, and exterior grounds.
• Respond to resident maintenance requests professionally and promptly.
• Coordinate with contractors and suppliers when required.
• Assist with emergency maintenance situations and on-call duties as needed.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company standards.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential, commercial, or multifamily property maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of general building systems and repairs.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license considered an asset.
• Relevant certifications or trade experience are considered assets.
