Job Description

Payroll Technician – Full Cycle | Multi-Company Environment | Quebec (Hybrid)

You already master the basics of payroll and want to take it to the next level?

We are looking for a payroll technician who wants to move away from a routine environment to evolve in a multi-entity, multi-collective agreement, and high-volume context — a rich learning ground for someone who truly wants to develop their expertise.

Your Role

You will be responsible for the full payroll cycle in an environment where each payroll has its particularities.

Specifically, you will be required to:

  • Process payroll for salaried and unionized employees (full cycle)

  • Validate, analyze, and correct timesheets

  • Apply collective agreements and ensure compliance with current laws

  • Open and close employee files

  • Produce employment records, T4, Relevé 1

  • Prepare and approve government remittances

  • Collaborate closely with HR and operational managers

Here, nothing is “automatic” or standardized. You develop a real understanding of payroll mechanisms.

Desired Profile

You have:

  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in payroll (full cycle)

  • Training in accounting (DEP, AEC, or DEC)

  • Experience in a multi-site environment (major asset)

  • Good mastery of Excel (data management and extraction)

  • Flawless French and functional English (occasional exchanges with English-speaking employees)

Why This Position is Strategic for Your Career

This role will allow you to:

  • Deepen your expertise in complex payroll

  • Work with several collective agreements

  • Evolve in a transforming technological environment

  • Develop progressive autonomy

  • Acquire an advanced understanding of federal and provincial issues

This position is particularly suitable for a profile that wishes to improve and become a reference in payroll.

Conditions Offered

  • Permanent position – 37.5 h / week

  • Flexible schedule

  • Hybrid mode (in-person required during the first 3 months for training)

  • Comprehensive group insurance (including dental)

  • RRSP with employer contribution

  • Employee assistance program + telemedicine

  • Continuous training

  • Vacations + mobile leave + sick leave
