Safran Landing Systems is a subsidiary of Safran Landing Systems, a global leader in landing and braking systems for aircraft. The Mirabel plant is dedicated to the manufacturing of major components for landing gear for Airbus A320, A330, and A350 models, as well as the Boeing 787. It features cutting-edge equipment for machining, polishing, and special processes, including heat treatment, shot peening, and surface treatments.
The supervisor is responsible for ensuring the progress of production activities to ensure team efficiency.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
• Monitor daily operations of their shift to ensure teams meet performance targets in production planning, quality, HSE, etc.
• Coordinate the work of production teams on the ground
• Ensure productivity and efficiency targets are met
• Track indicators (on-time delivery, scrap rates, machine downtime…)
• If necessary, prioritize follow-up on production progress
• Ensure the transition between the previous and following shifts and, if needed, reassign employees
• Identify and anticipate problematic situations or areas for improvement and coordinate resources to ensure effective production
• Guide, support, and supervise manufacturing employees (adherence to rules, communication, annual evaluations, approval of hours to be paid, etc.)
• Manage schedule changes, overtime, absences, etc.
• Support and participate in quality, continuous improvement, Health, Safety, and Environment efforts (IGP, 5S, risk analyses)
• Promote the development of manufacturing employees' skills, including newcomers
• Conduct individual interviews with manufacturing employees
• Lead and participate in daily production follow-up team meetings (QRQC, …)
Requirements:
•DEC or DEP in a relevant discipline
•Minimum 3 years of team management experience in the aerospace or high-tech manufacturing environment
Technical skills:
• Knowledge of our manufacturing process
• Knowledge of products
• Knowledge of the system (CASQ-IT) and quality procedures
• Knowledge of HSE rules and procedures
• Team management
• Problem-solving methodology
• Mastery of the collective agreement
• ERP and MRP tools (SAP, …)
• Production tracking applications (SHOPVUE, MES, CMMS)
• Lean tools (5S, Kaizen, OS, …)
