General Labour - Manufacturing - Evening Shift

General Labour - Evenings                                  

Production team member who will float between Corrugated and Foam Departments     

Evening shift.  15:25 – 1:55, Monday to Thursday.  4 – 10-hour shifts.

Reports To:  Evening shift team lead and Scott Ward

Rate of Pay - $19.00 + $1.00 (shift premium)

Training shifts will be on days shift for aprox 1 week then change to evening shift

Position Summary:

1. Operate production equipment
2. Assist operators on machines
3. Work individually or in assembly team
4. Manipulate products
5. Unitize loads at end of machine
6. Create Amtech tags and apply to loads
7. Strip scrap from boxes and foam sheets / use band saw
8. Bale scrap / Sweep / Housekeeping / Keep a clean safe working area
9. Palletize / Unitize product
10. Count at inventory
11. Complete Quality Reports and all other required documentation
12. Perform all other tasks assigned by Supervisor

Qualifications

1. Technically capable to learn and operate production equipment
2. Interpret drawings and specifications
3. Must exhibit safe work ethics
4. Fluent with basic measurement devices in Metric/Imperial and conversion capabilities
5. Must be able to handle pressure well and work in a fast-paced environment
6. Must be organized, detail and quality oriented
7. Have a positive, engaged contributor style attitude
8. Previous work experience / training / education is an asset

Working Conditions:  The position requires continual walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, heavy lifting and carrying.  Work outside and inside, work around machinery.
