With its unique aqua green facade, its ultra vintage design and its eclectic atmosphere, this convenience store-café is one of the “Most Instagrammable Places” in Montreal! Each cup of coffee served is the result of meticulous work, paying particular attention to each step, with a touch of ''latte art'' to complete it all. In addition to coffee, you can find "gourmet-to-go", delicious homemade dishes, as well as a wide variety of specialized products mainly from local producers.

Description

The incumbent will be called upon to provide support in the daily tasks related to the accounting department reporting to the Senior Accounting Technician.

We are looking for a meticulous, enthusiastic person who enjoys teamwork and who does not hesitate to offer help to his colleagues. The ideal person will have to have an excellent learning ability in order to be autonomous quickly while having a good speed of execution.

Summary of tasks:

• Ensure the processing of the complete cycle of accounts payable (verify purchase orders, receipt slips and invoices) for all departments of the company;
• Codify and enter invoices in the accounting system (taking into account project distributions and inter-company transactions);
• Issue payments to suppliers within the prescribed time limits;
• Perform credit card reconciliations;
• Check and enter sales entries from various company platforms;
• Enter payroll, GST/QST or other entries;
• Verify expense reports and codify expenses within the planned timelines (keep records up to date);
• Perform cash reconciliations and required follow-ups;
• Issue gift cards for the purchase of CCs online or at the request of internal departments (keep records up to date);
• Produce various accounting and management reports;
• Participate in month-end procedures (conciliations, writings, inter-company invoicing, etc.);
• Ensure excellent filing of paper and electronic records;
• Any other related tasks as required.

Requirements

• Diploma of professional studies (DEP) or college (DEC or AEC) in accounting;
• Minimum three (3) to five (5) years of relevant experience in a similar function;
• Experience within a multi-division, multi-company company (an asset);
• Excellent knowledge of French and English (oral and written);
• Mastery of the Office Suite (Word and Excel);
• Knowledge of Dynacom Technology accounting software (an asset);
• Have a good knowledge of Canadian accounting standards and tax laws;
• Excellent ability to analyze, plan and organize work;
• Ability to perform tasks in a methodical, rigorous, organized and efficient manner;
• Be proactive and demonstrate a great sense of autonomy, perseverance and flexibility;
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple files simultaneously and meet deadlines.
