Accounting Technician – Project Billing | Construction

We are looking for an accounting technician to cover a maternity leave lasting more than a year, including a complete training period before the departure of the person currently in the position.

The organization is open to both individuals wishing to work five days a week (40 hours) and those who prefer a schedule spread over four days.

Your Role

Your main responsibility will be to support the team in the billing of construction projects and the processing of supplier invoices.

The workload is heavier during the first half of the month, as the team must quickly process project-related expenses to prepare client billing. The pace then becomes more regular for the rest of the month.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Prepare billing associated with various projects;
  
• Enter and review purchase invoices;
  
• Allocate expenses to the correct projects;
  
• Verify the accuracy of information before billing;
  
• Ensure follow-up on missing or pending invoices;
  
• Participate in month-end activities;
  
• Collaborate closely with other members of the accounting team;
  
• Occasionally prepare simple tracking tables in Excel.
  

The Desired Profile

Essential Requirements:

• Relevant experience in operational accounting;
  
• Experience in project billing;
  
• Good ability to process a large volume of invoices accurately;
  
• Attention to detail, autonomy, and organizational skills;
  
• Ability to collaborate and request necessary validations;
  
• Functional knowledge of Excel.
  

Important Assets:

• Experience in project billing in the construction sector;
  
• Knowledge of accounting specifics related to construction projects;
  
• Experience with Vision software is considered a significant asset.
  

Working Conditions
