Join a well-established Quebec organization in the construction sector to lead on-site coordination of installations and connections on multi-residential and institutional construction sites. You will act as the on-site reference point to ensure quality, schedule, and health and safety, while orchestrating numerous subcontractors.
Responsibilities — deliver controlled construction sites (quality, schedule, health and safety)
- Analyze plans, technical specifications, and bids to clarify scope and anticipate execution issues.
- Develop internal specifications, estimates, and schedules, then ensure their updates according to actual progress.
- Prepare construction mobilization plans and coordinate coordination meetings with stakeholders.
- Coordinate teams and specialized subcontractors in installation and connections, on 1 to 3 sites simultaneously.
- Ensure daily monitoring of schedule, quality, and health and safety on the sites.
- Conduct post-installation inspections, document work, and produce site reports.
- Resolve technical issues, manage cost overruns related to errors, evaluate subcontractor performance, and contribute to optimizing methods and processes.
Profile sought — essential requirements and field approach
- Have at least 5 years of relevant experience on multi-residential or institutional construction sites.
- Master the reading of complex plans and technical specifications, including understanding the Building Code.
- Demonstrate an excellent understanding of wood construction and building structure.
- Apply solid practices in quality control, schedule preparation and monitoring, and site health and safety.
- Proficiently use the Microsoft Office suite.
- Exhibit field leadership, rigor, and a strong sense of organization in a fast-paced environment.
- Act with initiative, autonomy, and teamwork, with a proven ability to prioritize and solve problems.
Conditions — work environment, schedule, travel, and benefits
- Annual salary between $80,000 and $100,000.
- Stable schedule from Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
- Frequent travel throughout the region and occasionally to Ontario.
