Accounting Technician – Construction Quebec | Permanent Position | Hybrid Mode
You already know accounting in the construction field and understand its specific realities: ongoing work, project tracking, inventories, receipts, and regulatory documentation? A well-established and growing Quebec company is looking for an accounting technician to complete its finance team. Here, you will not be limited to data entry. You will actively participate in accounting operations, month-end processes, process improvements, and the evolution of the organization's tools. The position is suitable for someone who enjoys understanding what is happening on the ground, finding information, and advancing files.
Your Role In collaboration with the controller and members of the finance team, you will be responsible for: - Bank reconciliations; - Monitoring accounts receivable and recording collections; - Certain accounting entries and month-end tasks; - Tracking receipts; - Preparing monthly tax remittances; - Monitoring legal and regulatory documents, particularly with the RBQ and ARQ; - Supporting accounts payable; - Participating in the gradual implementation of a new ERP.
The Profile We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who has: - Concrete experience in accounting in the construction sector; - A good understanding of ongoing work, inventories, project management, and the accounting specifics of this industry; - A DEC in accounting or equivalent training; - The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; - Enough initiative to seek information from teams and ensure necessary follow-ups.
Knowledge of the construction sector is essential: the company prefers someone who already understands this environment, even if they still need to deepen certain accounting aspects.
