Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Die Cast Foreman to oversee and coordinate production operations across all manufacturing departments, ensuring optimal die casting output to meet production demands. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities and hands-on technical expertise in die casting processes, including machine setup, automation, tool changes, robotics, and programming. This role requires the ability to operate die cast machines as needed to support production flow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate production across all departments, including die casting, trimming, machining, assembly, and shipping, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient operations.
• Set up and optimize die cast machines, robots, and automation programs to ensure high-quality, consistent production.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with die casting equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
• Operate die cast machines as necessary to provide relief for breaks or to maintain production output.
• Train and mentor production staff on die casting best practices, machine operation, automation, and safety protocols.
• Monitor production schedules and adjust workflow to meet customer demands while maintaining quality and minimizing scrap.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and Ontario workplace safety regulations (OHSA), maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
• Collaborate with maintenance and toolroom teams to address and prevent equipment-related issues.
• Maintain production records and performance metrics, ensuring data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, optimize processes, and reduce costs.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum 5 years of die casting experience in a supervisory or technical role.
• Strong technical skills in setting up and programming die cast machines, robotics, and automation systems.
• Hands-on experience operating die cast machines and troubleshooting mechanical or process-related issues.
• Ability to step in and run production equipment as needed to support workflow and maintain output.
• Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, with the ability to coordinate across multiple departments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make real-time decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities to effectively lead and collaborate with production staff.
