Field Attendant

We are looking for a Field Attendant for our Plaster Rock peat bog. Our ideal candidate will enjoy working outdoors in a seasonal role, operating machinery to harvest peat. This role requires the ability to work flexible hours depending on the weather.


JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for harvesting peat in our fields;

Operate a tractor or a vacuum harvester;

Responsible for general and preventive maintenance of the equipment.


QUALIFICATIONS :

Driving experience preferred;

Mechanical aptitude with the ability to problem solve and trouble shoot;

Results orientated, self-starter;

Ability to work as part of a team with minimal supervision;

Operating a tractor considered an asset;

Prior field/ harvesting experience considered an asset.
