GN Canada is pioneering the introduction of innovative nicotine products to the Canadian market. We are seeking a skilled Sales representative who excels in relationship management and can establish a strong presence in the market (Edmonton).

  • Location: Edmonton (70% on the road, 30% remote/from home)
  • Must also be able to travel once per quarter for remote territories.
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm EST

Job Overview:

  • As GN Canada - Sales Representative, you will lead our efforts to grow and maintain our footprint in the Canadian nicotine product market. This role requires hands-on client interactions, managing key national accounts, and driving sales initiatives that align with our innovative product offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationships: Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships, serving as the primary contact and building personal rapport that establishes you as a trusted advisor.
  • Direct Communication and Relationship Building: A key component is building strong relationships with retail partners, much like the communication focus we desire in our role.
  • Account Strategy: Develop strategic account plans to achieve sales targets, enhance client satisfaction, and adapt to market trends and shifts for profitability.
  • Territory Visits: Visit 12-15 retail locations per day, 5 days per week, to support account promotions, execute sales strategies, and optimize product visibility. These visits typically involve quicker interactions and are within close proximity to each other.
  • Execution of Promotions and Strategy Development: The role includes supporting account promotions and developing strategies for product and POS material placements, which aligns with our goals for optimizing sales and visibility of GN Canada’s products.
  • Team Coordination: Work closely with marketing, support, service, and product teams to ensure client needs are met. Act as the client advocate within the company, ensuring effective communication and alignment between client needs and company resources, while overseeing and managing projects, including the launch of new products or services.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within regulated consumer goods such as tobacco, vape, or cannabis, and a proven track record in national/Territory account management, business development, and achieving sales targets.
  • 2-3 years of experience in Route sales and Outbound sales to multi-location channels with a focus on B2B account management
  • Possess strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software, and have the ability to travel regularly and manage a regional territory.
  • Proven track record in customer service and sales with regulated consumer goods (Tobacco, Vape, and/or Cannabis).
  • Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills, capable of handling complex negotiations and developing long-term business strategies.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
