Extracurricular Activities Facilitator $35-$60/hour

As part of our mission to enrich the educational and social lives of primary school children, our organization offers a variety of extracurricular activities in the sporting, artistic, cultural and scientific fields. We believe in the ability of young people to flourish and develop their full potential through stimulating and enriching activities.

We are looking for:

Passionate, dynamic and creative facilitators to plan, organize and lead extracurricular activities with primary school children. If you have skills in one or more areas such as sport, art, culture or science, and want to make a difference in the lives of children, join our team!

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize and lead various extracurricular activities (sporting, artistic, cultural, scientific) adapted to primary level.
  • Ensure the smooth functioning of groups during activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants.
  • Encourage a spirit of initiative among young people, in order to help them develop their sense of responsibility, organization and autonomy.
  • Promote exchange and discussion between young people to enrich their social and educational experience.
  • Stimulate the creativity of young people and encourage them to create and carry out their own projects.
  • Plan courses appropriate to the age of participants and ensure progression of learning over time.

Required qualifications:

  • Experience in leading activities for children, ideally at primary level.
  • Skills in at least one of the following areas: sport, art, culture, science.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, and ability to work in a team.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and ability to create a safe and inclusive environment.
  • First aid and CPR certification (an asset).
  • Ability to provide a clean criminal record check.
