Join a growing organization that designs and distributes fitness equipment focused on innovation and quality. This purchasing position is at the heart of execution: you secure parts, maintain reliable SAP data, and coordinate inventory across multiple warehouses to prevent shortages and support operations.
Responsibilities — procurement, inventory, and operational tracking
- Develop parts forecasts based on sales and financial plans, then produce detailed projections by SKU and by plant.
- Analyze availability reports weekly, recommend adjustments, and align needs to achieve the targeted availability rate.
- Monitor sales and stock levels across all warehouses, then expedite procurement in case of shortages (e.g., air freight or purchasing from other units).
- Create and maintain master data in SAP (new items, item sheets, purchasing info sheets, source lists) to support reliable decisions and reporting.
- Issue orders to factories and suppliers, negotiate and keep costs to a minimum while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
- Coordinate logistical tracking by communicating expected arrival dates and adjusting orders (expediting, postponing, canceling) according to evolving needs.
- Produce expected reports (monthly parts quota by the 3rd of the month, order fulfillment rate by the 8th), then track slow-moving parts and propose clearance strategies.
Profile sought — essential requirements to succeed in this role
- Hold a DEC in a relevant field (supply chain management, business administration, or logistics) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Have 1 to 3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain.
- Master Microsoft Office at an advanced level to analyze, structure, and communicate operational information.
- Communicate fluently in French and English, both orally and in writing, in a context of exchanges with internal teams, factories, and suppliers.
- Demonstrate strong organization, good time management, and a problem-solving analytical mindset.
- Work autonomously, with rigor and attention to detail, while managing multiple priorities in a changing environment.
Conditions — compensation and benefits
- Salary of $60,000 to $65,000.
- Access to insurance (medications, dental, long-term disability).
- 2 or 3 weeks of vacation, plus 5 personal days per year after 3 months.
Assets — to stand out
- Have used an ERP, ideally SAP.
- Have managed inventories spread across multiple warehouses.
- Know the 5S program.
