Field Mechanic / Handyman – Plaster Rock
You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing field equipment, performing general site maintenance, and supporting operational team across the peat bog located in Plaster Rock. This is a field-based role requiring mechanical knowledge, practical problem-solving, and the ability to work independently in remote and rugged conditions.


JOB SUMMARY:
• Inspect, maintain, and repair light and heavy equipment (tractors, harvesters, pumps, conveyors, etc.);
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues in field conditions;
• Perform welding, basic fabrication, and general handyman tasks as needed;
• Assist in setup, transport, and storage of field equipment;
• Keep detailed records of maintenance work and part usage;
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with environmental guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS :
• Proven experience as a mechanic, field technician, or general handyman;
• Welding and basic fabrication skills preferred;
• Valid driver’s license;
• Ability to operate heavy machinery and power tools safely;
• Self-motivated and comfortable working in remote outdoor environments.
