Industrial Mechanic

Based in Montreal, NūMove is a manufacturer and integrator of robotic systems and industrial automation solutions. We develop robust and innovative technologies thanks to our expertise in design, programming, software development and artificial vision.

We assemble and program our systems directly in our 32,000 square foot workshop before commissioning them at our customers' premises. Industrial Mechanic

The selected person will have the following responsibilities, and will be supervised by our production supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Play the role of expert in mechanical production and problem solving;
  • Perform mechanical assembly;
  • Modify, repair, install, improve and resolve various problems encountered
  • Manipulate different tools to modify parts required in production (e.g. mill, lathe, drill, grinder, saw.);
  • Respect the deadlines requested by production;
  • Read and understand mechanical assembly drawings;
  • Perform a minimum of tasks in electricity (connecting/disconnecting electric motors, thermocouples and control probes);
  • Comply with and ensure monitoring of health and safety standards established by NūMove;
  • Carry out any other related tasks (building support, etc.);
  • Openness to travel a few weeks per year.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Hold a DEP in industrial mechanics or electromechanics;
  • Perfect knowledge of French;
  • Functional English (given the nature of the position, interaction with customers located in the United States and English Canada);
  • 5 years of experience in a similar position;
  • Possess strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills ;
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with lots of change;
  • Self-starter, responsible and reliable;
  • Knowledge of welding;
  • Knowledge of health and safety and lockout procedures.
