SUMMARY:
The Merchandising Analyst is responsible for providing analytical support and maintains information on SAP, advertising planning, promotions, and new item listing. This position provides analysis and support regarding department margins and revenues and ensures accurate reporting and billing of vendor revenues.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains regular daily and periodic reports including providing ad hoc reports as necessary in support of the Grocery Merchandising team.
- Analysing Promotional Cost and Cleansing the BW data (Margin Validation)
- Ensures that the necessary information is sent to the accounting/finance team as required in accordance with proper accounting principles.
- Processes billings for certain vendor revenues (e.g. coupons) and manages others with the A/R department (e.g. lump sums).
- Communicates with vendors to resolve vendor enquiries and concerns relating to billings for vendor revenues.
- Setting up and running the WOW report
- Communicates with Procurement and Finance as required to ensure completeness and accuracy of Ontario reporting.
- Makes recommendations to improve processes and procedures.
- Responds to service inquiries adhering to customer service standards
QUALIFICATIONS:
- College diploma or University degree
- 3-5 years relevant work experience.
- Finance background is preferred
- Intermediate Microsoft Office & SAP
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Advanced proficiency in BW
- Must be well organized and have strong attention to detail
