The typical salary range for this position is $41 300.00 - $61 900.00 annually. The base salary offered will be determined based on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity considerations.

This posting is for an existing temporary, full-time position.

SUMMARY:
This position is responsibility for assisting and supporting the QA Specialists with their daily best before date audits, product checks and completions of Vendor Return documents.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Random product checks - Produce quality check, based on random checks and requests from Merchandising and Procurement
• Daily quality audits - Organic quality checks
• Complete "Return to Vendor" documents - RTV documents to facilitate product returns
• Assist CFIA and Third-party inspection agencies - gather samples and assist cleaning up the inspection area
• Complete daily Dates and Alert audits - a morning report checking Best Before Date of salads and processed product
• Complete daily logs and reports - record daily rejection and inspections into a QA report
• Inbound quality and short weight inspections - Assist QA with inbound inspections
• Communicate with Buyers, Toronto and Laval QA, QA Manager and Director
• Assist Full Time QA Specialist with daily duties

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Produce experience an asset, Grocery retail experience necessary
• Able to work in different temperature areas (3C to 23C)
• Able to lift 50 lb.
• Able to commit to the following work schedule: 6:00am-2:00pm, Monday-Friday
• Available to work weekends or holidays as needed, flexibility with work hours required
• Some Excel and Word experience
• Able to work independently
