• Perform detailed HVDC and FACTS studies and apply them to complex power systems
• Work with clients, project managers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions
  
• Guide, mentor and train junior engineers in HVDC/FACTS technologies
  
• Represent BBA in technical committees and industry working groups
  
• Maintain strong client relationships and contribute to business development activities
  
• Prepare and review reports, specifications, proposals and estimates

Summary of certifications and job requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or Ph.D. in electrical engineering
• P.Eng. designation or eligibility for registration
  
• At least 10 years of industry experience, including 5+ years in HVDC/FACTS
  
• Expertise in HVDC/FACTS studies and related codes and standards
  
• Expert PSCAD user
  
• Proficient in PSSE
  
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
  
• Ability to travel within Canada, the USA and internationally for short-term assignments
  
• Project management knowledge (scoping, planning, estimating)
  
• Familiarity with electrical protection and control systems
  
• Knowledge of IEEE, NEC or IEC standards
  
• Knowledgeable in real-time simulation
