Human Resources Advisor – New-Brunswick
We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on HR Generalist to support manufacturing facilities and harvesting sites in New-Brunswick (Baie-Sainte-Anne and Bay du Vin). As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering strategic and operational human resources support, while fostering a positive and productive workplace culture. This is an exciting opporunity to work in the peat moss industry, helping to shape HR practices in a growing and essential natural resource sector.
JOB SUMMARY:
• Assist in recruitment and selection processes, including job descriptions, candidate screening, interview processes and orientation;
• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the candidate experience, from job posting to full onboarding, ensuring a smooth and positive process;
• Work closely with managers to understand staffing needs, anticipate future requirements, and provide strategic support in recruitment;
• Participate and assist in organizing recruitment events such as job fairs to find the best talents;
• Provide general human resources support and advise managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, labor relations, and employee benefits;
• Ensure compliance with employment law, company policies, and best practices;
• Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflicts;
• Monitor and analyze HR KPIs (e.g., turnover rate, absenteeism, engagement) and provide insights and recommendations to support continuous improvement;
• Advise and support managers in performance management, including appraisals, development plans, and corrective actions;
• Participate and lead joint committee’s meetings;
• Assist in the execution of HR projects and initiatives, such as internal life events and employee engagement.
QUALIFICATIONS :
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field;
• 5+ years of experience in human resources;
• Experience in a unionized environment (an asset);
• Experience in a manufacturing company with multiple production sites;
• Dynamic, rigorous, discreet and you know how to manage your priorities;
• Problem-solving: Ability to assess situations and recommend solutions, particularly in conflict resolution and employee relations.
• Open to traveling (10-15%);
• Master the Office suite;
• Knowledge of written and spoken French (an asset).
