Job Summary:

Our plant in Sorel-Tracy is looking for a maintenance mechanic/electromechanic.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Repair and maintain machinery (Forklift);
  • Specific knowledge to detect, locate and take corrective action in the face of any defect in fixed or mobile machinery;
  • Build the piping system;
  • Repair and maintain processing and other equipment;
  • Knowledge of and compliance with current health and safety standards, environmental standards;
  • Order the supply for the garage and the factory;
  • Perform any other related tasks;
  • Any other conditions required in the collective agreement.
  • Main skills:
  • Knowledge of Automata (an asset)
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, electricity, pneumatics, plumbing, Arc welding and sequential logic would be an advantage
  • WHMIS training. Forklift driver, lockout or confined space (an Asset)
  • Rigour, method and precision.
  • Manual skill
  • Good physical health
  • Ability to work outdoors - different temperature (cold or hot)

Requirements:

  • D.E.P. in industrial mechanics or equivalent
  • High school diploma
  • Working conditions:
  • Physical environment: Indoor and outdoor work, lots of walking/movement
  • Adverse environment: Sometimes extreme weather conditions (outside)
  • Physical Effort: May have to lift equipment on occasion
  • Hours: Monday to Friday: 40 hours
