Marketing manager for local banners (temporary) Laval

SUMMARY: (14 month temporary position - hybrid)

The position holder is responsible for marketing for the local banners served by the St-Jean-Port-Joli (SJPJ) warehouse. He manages and develops strategic plans by category in order to maximize the division's sales and margins. He leads the marketing team, organizes, coordinates and monitors activities. He supervises the introduction of new programs and supervises their deployment in stores.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Develops the marketing strategy taking into account consumer needs and plans the advertising schedule for the division's promotional activities (circular, long-term discounts, exclusive promotions, etc.). p>

- Determines the products advertised on promotion (warehouse and direct deliveries), their price, wholesale and retail margins.

- Negotiates tactical offers and any one-off money necessary to meet margin objectives.

- Organizes and conducts business reviews of suppliers and evaluates their performance.

- Analyzes data, identifies growth opportunities, proposes and implements innovative offers that create value for consumers and merchants.

- Manages and develops the members of the team under his responsibility (a manager and two marketing assistants).

- Participates in the organization of advertising contests and special events (anniversary sales, sectoral programs and local support).

- Introduces new marketing programs and merchandising plans and coordinates the deployment of these plans by ensuring communication with stores.

- Keeps abreast of product and/or service innovations in the market and participates in reviewing the assortment and selecting products in the warehouse.

- Collaborates closely with retail operations to ensure the proper implementation of in-store promotional activities.

- Supervises the production of the execution guide and the publications “Le Magazine” and “Le Dépanneur”.

- Ensures the integrity of sales reports, profitability and various follow-ups for marketing activities, participates in the development of budgetary objectives and sees to their achievement.

- Supervises and contributes to the continuous improvement of work methods and procedures, develops new analysis tools and ensures that business processes are kept up to date.

- Conducts regular retail visits in order to fully understand and master the competitive environment, and stays informed of our competitors' retail pricing strategies.

- Participates in various special projects.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

- Bachelor's degree in administration, marketing option or related field

- 3 to 5 years of marketing experience

- Good knowledge of the competitive environment and the dynamics of the food market

- Experience in personnel management

- Knowledge of SAP and/or AS400

- Mastery of the MS Office suite

- Essential bilingualism (French and English, spoken and written in order to communicate with our English-speaking suppliers)
