As part of our continued growth and commitment to operational excellence, we are creating a new Production Supervisor position to support and lead our multi-shift production operations. JOB SUMMARY
Windmill Plastics is seeking a motivated and experienced Production Supervisor to lead production operations across all five shifts – days, evenings, nights, and weekends. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will be part of the management team and will ensure safe and efficient production processes, adherence to quality standards, and a positive and empowering work environment.
You will provide direct leadership to the Foremen, while supporting the development and training of the production teams. You will participate in resolving operational challenges, coordinating shifts, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to ensure the overall success of the plant.

SCHEDULE AND AVAILABILITY

  • Regular hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Mandatory flexible work: One evening or weekend shift per week (rotation: each shift must be covered at least once a month)
  • On-call availability required for emergencies and foreman support
  • Flexibility required to work outside of regular hours and cover other shifts, as needed

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead operations: Supervise production activities on all shifts to ensure schedules are met, safety standards and company procedures.
  • Supporting Foremen: Provide direct technical support and act as an escalation point for all operational or personnel management issues.
  • Shift Coordination: Organize Foremen's schedules and lead shift transition meetings to ensure communication and continuity.
  • Training and Development: Implement and manage training programs for Foremen and production employees.
  • Health and Safety: Apply and enforce health and safety policies, conduct regular inspections, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Quality Control: Monitor product quality, collaborate with other departments to resolve issues, and support improvement initiatives.
  • Materials Management: Collaborate with the Warehouse and Transportation Supervisor to effectively manage materials, inventory, and and equipment maintenance.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify optimization opportunities and encourage employee suggestions.
  • Communication: Maintain clear and regular communication with the Plant Manager and management.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Technical Skills:

  • Training in operations management or a related field (or equivalent experience considered).
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in production and personnel management (multi-shift experience preferred).
  • Hands-on approach with machinery – mechanical aptitude is considered an asset.
  • Experience in plastic injection molding is a strong asset.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) required.
  • Comfort with technology and computer tools.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of ERP or production planning systems (an asset).
