Library Manager

Under the responsibility of your main supervisor for community engagement and neighborhood libraries, you will manage one or more neighborhood libraries. More specifically:

• You plan, organize, lead, and control the resources allocated to library activities;
• You are responsible for service priorities to the public, human resource management, accessibility to equipment, and their maintenance;
• You establish, maintain, and enhance partnerships to increase the library's community engagement in neighborhood life, developing meaningful and lasting connections;
• You actively participate in the strategic planning of libraries and the development of an expanding network;
• You are responsible for mandates at the corporate level and participate as needed in certain committees and working groups.

• Hold a master's degree in library science, information science, or any other relevant degree;
• Have four (4) years of closely related work experience in customer service and library management;
• Possess skills to work in a team and mobilize work teams;
• Be able to promote the integration of the library into neighborhood life;
• Possess skills to communicate in French both verbally and in writing.
