Accounting/Finance Technician (FP&A)

As a technician in the FP&A department, you will be the guardian of the profit margin through your monitoring, analysis and anticipation of expenses related to our operations. In addition, you will have the opportunity to participate in the optimization of our work tools with the aim of continuous improvement and automation.

The person will have the following responsibilities in collaboration with the FP&A team:

  • Actively participate in the monthly invoicing process;
  • Work with project managers, purchasing and operations stakeholders to obtain the information necessary for invoicing;
  • Ensure the accounting of invoices in the IT systems of accurately and in compliance with deadlines;
  • Ensure and explain the monitoring of the financial performance of the various projects based on budgets and forecasts;
  • Participate in the optimization of the invoicing process;
  • Participate in the implementation of a margin optimization process;
  • Participate in the creation, improvement and maintenance of dashboards;
  • Participate in the financial forecasting process;
  • Produce and implement performance reports;
  • Improve and maintain financial, purchasing and labor forecast files;
  • Ensure mailings and communications to customers related to invoicing;
  • Any other related tasks.

 

Portrait of the profile sought:

  • DEC in accounting / finance;
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting (financial analysis an asset);
  • Have a good team spirit;
  • Demonstrate rigor and attention to detail;
  • Knowledge of the construction industry;
  • Knowledge of CMEQ software (an asset);
  • Excellent skills in managing multiple files at once and tight deadlines;
  • Versatility, organization, resourcefulness, sense of priorities;
  • Good communication skills
  • Advanced mastery of Excel (Macro and VBA an asset) and knowledge of Power Bi.
