Your team:
This role is part of the global procurement team and is linked to Michelin's off-road business unit. Working within this team provides a global overview of the company's activities. The team is made up of procurement professionals working on both commercial and technical aspects. Responsible for acquiring tracks and track systems for eight plants, team members collaborate with suppliers from around the world, allowing them to discover new cultures and acquire new skills.
Your role:
As part of the Supply Chain Manager's team, the successful candidate will be primarily responsible for managing supplier integration in large-scale projects with international clients in order to optimize product delivery times, quality, and costs.
We need you for:
Analyze internal needs and the market to identify the best opportunities.
Issue calls for tenders and negotiate with high-caliber suppliers.
Facilitate the implementation of the “Purchase to Pay” process.
Place orders with suppliers to fulfill purchase requisition requests from internal customers.
Select partners and optimize purchasing strategies.
Monitor supplier performance and track contract execution.
Define and manage supplier improvement plans in partnership with the purchasing contract manager.
Manage and deploy projects/initiatives to reduce procurement costs and risks.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a stimulating environment.
Contribute to the reliability and performance of the supply chain.
What do you need to possess for being successful?
You have a bachelor's degree in business administration or economics or equivalent.
You have at least 3 years of experience in procurement.
You have experience in teamwork and networking.
Technical knowledge of one or more technologies/processes specific to commodities (rubber, metal, plastic, chemicals, etc.) is an asset.
You are comfortable in a bilingual environment (French and English) and can communicate orally and in writing with your colleagues and our international partners.
You are detail-oriented, thorough, and have a problem-solving mindset.
You enjoy travelling abroad (approximately 10-20% of the time).
