The challenges that await you

Under the responsibility of the Chief Commissioner, you are responsible for the coordination, logistics, and promotion of the Opportunities Accelerator within the community. You are also involved in the operations and development of the programs/tracks offered to SMEs - Startups supported as part of the Opportunities Accelerator. You participate in the realization of business projects and ecosystem animation, in connection with the services and programs offered through the accelerator.

In this capacity, you are particularly responsible for providing a strategic experience for modernization projects and digital transformation towards industry, all in line with the strategic plan for economic development. In addition to the services of the economic development team and economic partners, the accelerator will offer proximity services and specialized support to assist businesses throughout their value enhancement, innovation, and growth processes, provided to both established companies and startups operating in Laval.

More specifically:

  • In collaboration with team members and external partners, you participate in the preparation of the action plan and priorities of the Accelerator and contribute to the development of necessary programs;
  • You coordinate the setup, operations, and maintenance of the accelerator and actively contribute to the development and management of its programs and tracks;
  • You advise and support, in close collaboration with the commissioners, businesses throughout their journey or in the realization of their business and investment projects;
  • You engage partners, stakeholders, and strategic experts, and carry out necessary prospecting and enhancement activities for the accelerator and establish agreements with all stakeholders.
The ideal profile for us
  • Hold a bachelor's degree in business administration, project management, engineering, or a relevant discipline;
  • Have eight (8) years of relevant experience in innovation, business development, or economic development including significant experience in facilitating, mobilizing, and supporting a diversity of actors in the entrepreneurial community;
  • Know the different stages of development of startup businesses;
  • Be familiar with entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystems;
