Skyscraper Operator
We’re looking for a full-time Skyscraper Operator at our Baie-Sainte-Anne site. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the skyscraper machine, a key piece of equipment used in the production of growing media. You will perform daily machine inspections, maintain productivity and quality standards, and follow strict safety procedures. You will work closely with the production and maintenance teams to troubleshoot issues and ensure continuous workflow.


JOB SUMMARY:
• Operate the skyscraper machine safely and efficiently during production;
• Perform daily inspections and basic preventive maintenance of the equipment;
• Maintain consistent productivity levels while respecting established quality standards;
• Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to optimize output;
• Record production data and report any mechanical issues or downtime;
• Collaborate with production teams, maintenance teams, and supervisors to maintain workflow;
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental protocols;
• Assist with related tasks and support production operations as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Previous experience operating production machinery or heavy equipment (an asset);
• Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues;
• Basic computer skills for entering production data and reporting;
• Ability to communicate in English; French is an asset;
• Forklift certification (asset) or willingness to obtain;
• Physical ability to operate machinery for extended periods and lift materials up to 50 pounds;
• A positive attitude, teamwork spirit, and a commitment to safety.
