Process Operator - Yogurt - EVENING

Attentive to its customers for four generations, Laiterie Chalifoux's mission is to constantly innovate and be a trendsetter in the dairy industry, specializing in the processing of dairy products that it markets across Canada under the Riviera brand.

Main tasks :

• Follow the daily production order schedule and implement them
• Make recipe mixes according to product specifications
• Operate multiple processing systems such as: Pasteurizer, Thermistor, Ultrafiltration.
• Complete various production logs
• Ensure the cleaning of process facilities
• Participate in the improvement of work tools
• Comply with various established hygiene measures
• Lift weights of less than 10 kg

Special working conditions:

• Evening schedule (5 days a week, 37.5 hours) / From 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., Monday to Friday (or Sunday to Thursday) / Schedule may vary from week to week.
• Offered salary:  $22.84 per hour excluding premiums applicable
• Evening premium: 0.50$/hour
• For food quality and safety reasons, work environments may be humid, hot, or cold.
• Be available to work overtime.
• Be willing to be assigned to another position on the same shift.
• The presence of equipment makes the work environment relatively noisy.
• Personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and boots, as well as earplugs, are mandatory in production.
• Wearing equipment such as hairnets and beard nets, a uniform, and frequent handwashing are mandatory measures in the factory.

Training and Skills:

• DES or any combination of training or equivalent experience
• DEP in Production Equipment Operations
• Experience in the agri-food and dairy industries (an asset)
• Knowledge of basic computer programs
• Good mathematical skills
• Good physical condition

• Good stress management in emergency situations and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrate autonomy and initiative
