Assembler-Welder

We are looking for an assembler-welder for a permanent, full-time position in Boucherville.

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the supervisor, the employee must prepare, assemble, install, and weld steel parts according to plans, drawings, and manufacturing procedures while following work instructions.

As an assembler-welder, your challenges will be:

• Read and understand plans, drawings, and welding symbols;
• Know the different profiles;
• Be able to identify parts for assembly;
• Be able to position parts on work stands;
• Prepare parts before assembly according to work instructions;
• Assemble complex, main, and small material parts;
• Weld flat, horizontal, and full penetrations;
• Mark and drill parts;
• Design jigs;
• Manufacture metalwork;
• Check measurements to ensure they meet requirements;
• Clean the workplace;
• Operate an overhead crane;
• Operate a forklift;
• Be able to replace a day laborer;
• Any other assignment requested by your supervisor or immediate superior.

WORK SCHEDULE IN BOUCHERVILLE

• Daytime: Monday to Thursday from 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (40 hours per week);
• Evening: Monday to Thursday from 3:30 p.m. to midnight and Friday from 12:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. (40 hours per week) weeks).

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Compensation: $25 to $35 per hour

Scheduled Hours: 40 per week
