Assistant Team Leader, Warehouse

Under the responsibility of the Warehouse Team Leader, the Assistant Team Leader actively participates in the daily operations of the warehouse as well as certain aspects related to product quality control, while respecting health and safety rules. safety.

Key objectives

• Prepare and ensure the accuracy of orders received and to be shipped according to their specifications;
• Verify the accuracy of shipping documents (labels, invoices, proof of delivery);
• Participate in inventory counts and ensure the accuracy of the inventory of perishable and non-perishable products (as needed);
• Organize the warehouse to maximize space and efficiency ;
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times;
• Communicate with various departments to ensure order compliance;
• Perform quality inspection, cutting, and analysis according to procedures;
• Collaborate with the quality department to maintain a high standard of products;
• Assist in shift coordination (agency employees);
• Assist in employee training;
• Enter data into the computer and follow up by email to maintain good communication with other departments;
• Actively participate in Health and Safety Committee meetings when required;
• Act as a substitute during the Team Leader's vacations/absences.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma ;
• Relevant warehouse experience, preferably in a perishable goods environment;
• Experience in the floral industry (an asset).

Skills and Competencies

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment with tight deadlines;
• Good computer skills (Microsoft Office);
• Valid forklift license (an asset);
• Valid driver's license (an asset);
• Good knowledge of French and functional English;
• Ability to work in a refrigerated environment for extended periods.

Schedule: Full-time position, Monday to Friday, day shift with flexibility to meet operational needs. This may include evenings and weekends.
