Your responsibilities in a nutshell

Lead a team of compliance analysts within the financial planning and analysis department - Organize and supervise assessments and testing of internal controls - Ensure implementation monitoring up-to-date with industry standards and practices as well as divisional operational and financial changes - Provide training to internal teams regarding changes to internal controls - Promote the development and ongoing mentoring of compliance analysts, encouraging improve team skills - Coordinate internal control audits with different teams - Plan and manage external audits - Work collaboratively with stakeholders from different teams to ensure correct execution of the compliance program - Carry out all other related tasks

Your Strengths for this position

  • Hold a BAC in accounting or title of CPA
  • Have five years of experience in compliance, auditing or accounting,
  • Have three years of management experience team member, with experience in audits
  • Good knowledge of Sarbanes requirements -Oxley (SOX)
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to 'inspire and motivate a team towards excellence
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite software (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Bilingualism required. Excellent written and oral communication skills in French and English

Reporting to the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), the Chief Compliance Officer will be responsible for overseeing the Compliance team to achieve its objectives. He will first need to establish a compliance team to ensure that all internal controls meet current standards. As an ideal candidate, you will be responsible for preventing and resolving compliance issues with your team of analysts, while developing and deploying compliance policies and procedures. This position also requires a strong sense of professionalism, integrity and ethics, as well as a natural curiosity to better understand the challenges and opportunities encountered.
