Main Challenges
Reporting to the Project Manager, the dispatcher plays a crucial role in optimizing the flow of recyclable materials. He is responsible for planning, coordination, picking and delivering. The dispatcher must deal with customers, drivers, subcontractors and warehouse staff while respecting constraints and requirements (cost, flow optimization, customer satisfaction, etc.).
The main functions of the dispatcher are:
Planning:Organize schedules in order to establish collection and delivery routes: according to vehicle availability, volumes to be processed and geographical constraints;
Transmit directives to drivers (instructions, documents, etc.);
Control inventory management, exercise rigorous daily monitoring;
Respect costs and optimize;
Communicate with customers regularly by phone, email, text messaging.
Coordination:Ensure effective communication with drivers, customers and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
Optimization:Optimize and synchronize transport operations; Use IT tools to optimize routes, reduce transportation costs and minimize carbon footprint.
Monitoring of deadlines:
Monitor collection and delivery activities in real time.
Identify potential problems and provide rapid solutions.
SKILLS AND PERSONAL QUALITIES sought
Organizational skills: ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines;
Analytical skills: ability to analyze data and make informed decisions;
Customer orientation: provide quality service to customers and meet their needs.
Logistics knowledge: understanding of logistics principles and supply chains;
Proficiency in IT tools: ability to use planning and tracking software;
Good geographical knowledge of the Magog region and its surroundings;
Knowledge of transportation regulations;
Ability to manage in different situations.
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS
3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position.
High school diploma.
Bilingualism, functional fluency in French and English.
CONDITIONS Remuneration
55,000 to 70,000 (depending on experience).
