Purpose of the position:

 

As a Logistics Distribution Manager at Maison Riviera, your main mission is to ensure the efficiency of logistics operations.

 

Main relationships:

 

The incumbent reports directly to the Procurement and Logistics Director.

 

Main responsibilities:

 

  • Ensure the optimization of distribution routes and processes
  • Manage and optimize relationships with 3PLs and optimize internal distributor routes and external
  • Build, manage and optimize performance indicators related to distribution and logistics
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies
  • Plan distribution needs, anticipate constraints and coordinate activities to meet the company's expectations
  • Ensure constant monitoring of market rates
  • Develop and use performance indicators to monitor the efficiency of logistics processes and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Implement corrective measures to improve the quality of deliveries and reduce costs, non-conformities and penalties imposed by customers
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects to optimize external logistics flows and our internal truck fleet
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to develop solutions innovative
  • Maintain and develop strong relationships with carriers, suppliers and other external stakeholders
  • Negotiate distribution contracts and logistics agreements to ensure profitable and efficient partnerships
  • Monitor the inventory of finished products, by the turnover and obsolescence rate
  • Implement efficient and methodical management tools

Job requirements:

To occupy this position, the following requirements are necessary :

 

  • University or college degree in operations management, logistics or equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • At least seven (7) years of relevant experience in distribution and logistics.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in the food industry, fresh products.
  • Excellent knowledge of the food industry.
  • Proficiency in the Office Suite, as well as excellent proficiency in Excel software.
