The challenges that await you

Reporting to the Senior Manager – Central Library, Programming and Partnerships, you will manage all activities and staff assigned to the cultural programming of the libraries and the organization of cultural events under their supervision, ensuring compliance with the guidelines related to the exhibitions of the central library.


You will ensure the planning and implementation of strategies to adequately meet the needs of the community and citizens while respecting the mission of the libraries, taking into account the existing ecosystems in the neighborhoods and downtown. You will develop partnerships under their responsibility to foster active and fruitful collaborations in programming activities. You will act as a facilitator in the synergy of stakeholders. You will develop the annual objectives for your work team and recommend measures to optimize the performance of the various activities under your responsibility. In collaboration with your supervisor, you will participate in consultation bodies in your area of expertise, particularly in relation to the existing governance frameworks (e.g., cultural infrastructure, downtown, local service centers).


Results-oriented, you will guide, direct, and supervise team members in the execution of their respective mandates, determine the general order of priorities, define objectives, and communicate your expectations. You will evaluate performance, recognize achievements, and promote staff development by recommending appropriate training.

The ideal profile for us
  • Hold a master's degree in information science or any other relevant degree;
  • Have 6 to 9 years of relevant experience.
