In order to develop our government relations, conduct promotional activities, organize effective events, carry out strategic partnerships, serve and represent our members, we need someone with your talent to take charge of office administration and accounting activities.

 We are looking for an administrative assistant with an accounting component to join our great team and contribute to our success in an atmosphere of respect, cooperation, and talent development.

 A multi-faceted job.

At the QPMA, you will be an important link in our chain of operations and services that leads to our success by sharing your time between administration, client-member relations and accounting-related activities.

 Do you like administration? You will be served. You will :

  • Support the team in its administrative tasks.
  • Write letters, minutes and reports.
  • File and manage mail, office equipment and stationery.
  • Negotiate and ensure compliance with service contract deadlines for equipment and supplies.
  • Monitor the evolution of the computer fleet.
  • Maintain the membership database.

Do you like to help people and be of service to customers? It's easy for you to :

  • Provide the right information to our members and suppliers by answering their calls and emails.
  • Collaborate with the team and the board of directors by following up on administrative files and providing accounting information.
  • Participate in the success of our events by confirming sponsorships and member registrations.

Numbers don't scare you? You will learn with transitional coaching to :

  • Collect payments from clients and issue payments to suppliers.
  • Prepare deposits and payrolls.
  • Invoice and follow up on accounts receivable.
  • Produce income statements.
  • Perform bank reconciliations.
  • Monitor project and event budgets.
  • Develop dashboards.
  • Complete GST/QST reports.

Here are some other requirements for the position.

  • College diploma in accounting/management/office technology or comparable relevant experience.
  • Fluency in spoken and written French and a good knowledge of spoken and written English.
  • Be excellent at using Outlook, Excel, and accounting software.

  • Attention to detail, meticulousness, thoroughness, and autonomy.
