Financial analyst

Under the supervision of the Finance Director, the Financial Analyst will work closely with colleagues from the Finance Department and other departments, gathering, interpreting, and reconciling various financial data to enable informed decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly financial statements;
  • Reconcile and analyze general ledger accounts;
  • Perform bank reconciliations;
  • Participate in various ad hoc and ad hoc financial analyses;
  • Participate in the budget process and monitor its progress with each department within the company;
  • Periodic analysis of profit margins by client/project;
  • Implement and update a costing/production cost system for each product category. periodic;
  • Monitoring inventory accounting accuracy;
  • Monitoring, maintaining, and reconciling supplier volume discounts to be received;
  • Participating in the preparation of the year-end file;
  • Proposing improvements to the internal control process to ensure the quality and reliability of administrative and financial information;
  • Improving and automating financial tools integrated or to be integrated into the ERP.

Required Qualifications:

  • D.E.C. in accounting;
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar position;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent Excel skills;
  • Experience with Power BI (an asset);
  • Knowledge of Business Central (an asset).
