DFX and Product Development Specialist

What you will have to do in this role:

  • Develop and implement DFx activities throughout our clients' product development process;
  • Lead workshops to identify issues and design mitigation strategies to resolve potential manufacturing, assembly, cost and quality issues;
  • Support and train design teams integrating DFx methodologies into their projects at Merkur and at our clients;
  • Collaborate with design teams to optimize complex products in transportation, aerospace, medical, etc. for cost, performance, and quality;
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members to support their growth and development.

The minimum skills you should have: :

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field;
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in systems architecture and design, with a focus on DFx principles;
  • In-depth knowledge of DFx tools and methodologies;
  • Excellent problem-solving and trade-off analysis skills to determine the best path forward follow;
  • Ability to work independently and explore “undefined” territories to solve complex problems;
  • Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.
