Neuroelectrophysiology Technologist - Neurology

Position: 2 days/week or on call

Remuneration, depending on experience, between $35 and $40/hour

Under the general supervision of the treating neurologist:

• Performs monitoring in the technical room and performs all routine EMG examinations. Perform exams

according to protocols and guidelines. Performs a first read through a report

preliminary, if provided for in the protocol, and forwards the recording to the neurologist designated to

for purposes of interpretation.

• Participates in patient education.

• Performs all other related tasks at the request of his immediate superior

• Carries out all the necessary formalities relating to the test required by the attending physician, ensures the maintenance and updating of the devices

Education/Experience

• Must hold a diploma (DEC) of college studies in medical electrophysiology techniques from a school recognized by the competent ministry.

• Must be a member of the Order of Technologists in Medical Imaging, Radiation Oncology and Medical Electrophysiology of Quebec.

Required skills

• French and English spoken and written

• Sense of leadership and attention to detail

• Excellent communication skills and demonstrates good interpersonal relationships.
