Electrical engineer

Reporting to the Director of Electrical Engineering and Automation, the selected candidate will contribute to the concurrent execution of several projects. In these activities, they will interact with members of the Mechanical Engineering and Automation departments as well as the manufacturing floor. She will also act as a specialized technical resource during meetings and client or supplier meetings.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Production of functional descriptions and calculations
  • Design of equipment electrical plans
  • Production of purchase requests
  • Documentation of completed projects (operation and maintenance manual)
  • Preparation and participation in factory tests
  • Remote preparation and support of site tests
  • Technical assistance to the client

Profile: Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in a similar position
  • Fluency in written and spoken French
  • Fluency in written and spoken English Advanced level spoken (used daily due to our clients located primarily in Western Canada and the United States)
  • Knowledge of electrical design software
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Windows environment (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical (asset)
  • Knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code
  • Working in a multidisciplinary team
  • Communication skills with stakeholders (colleagues, clients, plant/site employees)
  • Organizational skills, resourcefulness, autonomy, and rigor
  • Honesty
  • Availability
  • Knowledge of automation (asset)
