As a journeyman Millwright, you'll find yourself at the helm of dynamic projects, leading small teams of workers, and collaborating closely with subcontractors to ensure seamless operations. Your responsibilities encompass the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery and equipment, requiring a keen eye for detail and precision craftsmanship. Responsibilities Include:
1. Team Leadership: Working side by side, leading and supervising a team of millwrights, providing guidance, direction, and support to ensure projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
2. Project Management: Overseeing the planning, and execution of work at customer locations, including coordinating with, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure timelines and budgets are met.
3. Training and Development: Mentoring and training junior millwrights, apprentices, and other team members to enhance their skills, knowledge, and professional growth within the trade.
4. Safety Compliance: Ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols, regulations, and best practices to maintain a safe work environment for all team members and subcontractors.
5. Problem-solving: Identifying and resolving complex technical issues and challenges that may arise, utilizing critical thinking and troubleshooting skills to implement industry best practice solutions.
6. Quality Assurance: Ensuring the highest standards of craftsmanship and quality in all aspects of work, conducting inspections and quality checks to guarantee the integrity and functionality of machinery and equipment.
7. Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicating with clients, project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements, provide updates, and address concerns throughout the project lifecycle.
8. Continuous Improvement: Striving for continuous improvement in processes, techniques, and methodologies, seeking opportunities to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall project outcomes.
