Role
Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, the technician is responsible for installing and repairing equipment at the client's site. They are also mandated to provide technical support by phone or email.
Description of Activities and Responsibilities
▪ Respond to service calls on the road.
▪ Perform repairs in the shop.
▪ Be available to periodically perform 24-hour service on-call shifts.
▪ Meet with customers to resolve issues.
▪ Diagnose technical problems.
▪ Replace equipment or return defective parts for repair.
▪ Perform tests to ensure Ensure the equipment functions properly
▪ Assist customers in using their new equipment
▪ Prepare the necessary equipment in the truck according to needs
▪ Provide technical support by email or telephone
▪ Calibrate and calibrate machines
▪ Perform maintenance tasks on electronic and mechanical equipment ▪ All other related tasks
Training
▪ College or university degree in Electronic or electrical experience
Experience
▪ 2-5 years of experience in a related field

Specific knowledge
▪ Minimum bilingualism required (English and French)
▪ Proficiency in wired and wireless network communications, radio, and other technologies
▪ Proficiency in TCP/IP and UDP configurations (Subnet Mask, Gateway, and DNS)
▪ Advanced computer knowledge (Windows Server, Hyper-V, and servers) (redundant)
▪ Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite software
▪ Knowledge of instrumentation (multimeter, oscilloscope, etc.)
▪ Knowledge of traffic control and detection systems. IMSA
▪ Knowledge of point-of-sale peripherals (laser scanner, printer, cash drawer, credit card payment system, and touchscreen)
▪ Knowledge of scripting and SQL queries
▪ Knowledge of remote control software (TeamViewer, LogMeIn, VNC, and others)
▪ Knowledge of reading and interpreting mechanical, electrical, and electronic diagrams
▪ AutoCAD knowledge an asset
