Structural Engineer (Project Manager)

Our client is a renowned engineering firm, offering engineering, project management and construction coordination services for various types of projects.

With a passionate and dynamic team, we are looking to strengthen their workforce by welcoming a Structural Engineer capable of coordinating complex works and leading large-scale projects.

Job Description

As a Structural Engineer, you will play a key role in the planning, design and supervision of structural projects. You will be responsible for coordinating field work, managing resources and ensuring deadlines and budgets are met. You will work closely with contractors and clients to ensure the success of projects.

Main Responsibilities

  • Construction Coordination: Supervise and coordinate field teams to ensure that work is carried out in accordance with plans and standards.
  • Project Management: Develop schedules, manage budgets and rigorously monitor progress to meet project deadlines and financial targets.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with architects, contractors, engineers and other building professionals to ensure optimal coordination.
  • Quality Control: Verify compliance of work and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare technical reports and ensure clear and up-to-date documentation for each project.
  • Hybrid work mode

Required qualifications

  • University degree in civil engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management and work coordination
  • Solid experience in project management
  • Excellent time management, problem-solving and communication skills
  • Fluency in French and English, both oral and written
  • Member in good standing of the OIQ (Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec)

Assets

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • In-depth knowledge of construction standards in Quebec
  • Experience in managing teams in the field
